CASA is a 501c3 non profit shelter. We are contracted with Island County to provide temporary care and temporary housing to the impounded dogs of Camano Island. We receive a small monthly stipend to care for dogs only. CASA recognizes that cats are a large part of the animal population of Camano Island and therefore, CASA provides care, housing and adoption for as many cats as we can. Cat care can be provided thanks to the generous donations of our community supporters. Over 70% of our operating costs are covered by donations. THANK YOU!

CASA recognizes that finding homeless animals their forever home is a community effort. When possible, we assist other shelters by taking animals (primarily dogs) that have been at their shelter for a prolonged period of time and could really benefit from a change of environment or different exposure they may receive at our shelter.
